Eph. 6:13 “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”.
Shabbat Shalom Mishpochah And Chaverim
I shared in a previous devotional that my husband and I were victims of fraud. A month has almost gone by, and we are still working with the bank to recover the funds. This week the bank had extended the investigation from 7-10 business to 90days. The good news though they have credit my account a provisional credit of the funds' loss until a final decision be made. I'm not allowed to touch the money until a final decision is made. However, the bank person who is working with us believes this should go in my favor. Thursday, I was feeling slightly frustrated about waiting and wondering what the outcome was going to be. While getting ready for bed, I began praying, asking HaShem what else could I do. Then I heard these words in my spirits "When situations are out of my hands. You must stand."
After this thought, I realized there was nothing else I could do. But wait, stand on HaShem's word and trust Him in whatever the outcome will be. For the bank to extend the investigation to 90days, my patience is being developed. While meditating on the thought of standing, a scripture that came to mind is Eph. 6:13 "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." The word Stand is a verb meaning an action word. Something that I must do is stand. It appeared weird because just standing still may seem like I'm doing nothing. But I am doing something putting on the whole armor of G-D while I'm standing.
The fraud was evil done to my husband and me; we are not fighting against those who afflicted the evil, the bank, or anyone else involved. However, we are fighting against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of this world's darkness, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Forces are working behind the scenes that are fighting against us refusing to release my funds to me. On my end, I have prayed, disputed the charges, submitted the evidence, and reported to all parties involves. Therefore, I did all I could do, and now I must stand. This situation is currently out of my hands, so now I must stand.
Stand and see the HaShem work on my behalf. Stand and continue to pray against all evil working against me. Stand in truth, knowing I can trust Him no matter what the outcome is.
I'm not a political person, and you will not see me out protesting in the streets for a cause. But when I think about how many peaceful protests made a difference, some of them stand without saying a word. Yeshua stands in knowing who He was on earth despite those who rejected Him.
In closing, I encouraged you to stand no matter what situations comes your way. It may appear you are not doing anything but standing is an action word, and you are doing what is needed of you.
