Shabbat Shalom Barch Ata/ Happy Sabbath and Blessed The Name,
Today we celebrate a joyous festival called Shavuot/Pentecost which means fifty days or fiftieth day and also known as the Feasts Of Weeks celebrating the wheat/barley harvest. Now this event is not just a New Testament/Brit Hadasha event but in fact this event began over 1500 years ago on Mount Sinai where HaShem gave Moshe/Moses The Mitzvots/Commandments on two tablets of stone. However, there are many believers that seem to think or believe that Shavuot/Pentecost started in Acts 2: but that is not true at all.
According to Vayikra/Leviticus 23:15 Hashem commanded The B’nai Yisrael/Children Of Israel to count The Omer/Sefira which is 49 days starting with the wave offering which leads to what is called in Hebrew Shavuot/in Greek Pentecost. Shavuot started 7 weeks after Pesach /Passover. On Mount Sinai marks the birth of B’nai Yisrael/Children Of Israel and when Yisrael became a nation on the fiftieth day which is also the year of Jubilee.
Many do not know that there are two Shavout/Pentecost the 1st one was at Mount Sinai with the giving of the Mitzvots/Commandments (Exo 24:12 “And the Adoni/Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them); which is the Oral Torah. And the 2nd outpour was given in Acts 2. In simpler terms The Ruach Hakodesh/ Holy Spirit rested upon the B’nai Yisrael/Children Of Israel but, now The Ruach Hakodesh/ Holy Spirit just doesn’t rest upon all believers in Yeshua Hamashiach but yet He Tabernacle/Dwells within us.
In closing, as a true Talmidim/ Follower of Yeshua Hamashiach let us rejoice because every sense the 2nd outpour of the Ruach Hakodesh He now lives within us. I encourage you as Yechezkel/Ezekiel 36:26 “A new Lev/Heart also will I give you, and a new Ruach/spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh”.
With that being said when we allow our hearts to remain open to the Ruach Hakodesh we give Him access to our lives and He will leads and guides in all truth according to Yochanan/John 16:13. It’s much easier to do surgery on flesh versus a stone. When our heart is flesh it’s easier for Him to rule over us.
ChagShavoutSameach in Yeshua’s name Amen and Shabbat Shalom.
Love Your Achot/Sister
Shakina
