Shakinapoet

"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu, Melech Ha Olam/Blessed are you O Adonai, our G-D, King of the Universe. Shabbat Shalom Mishcopa/Happy Shabbat family,

Thursday, I started acting classes. I could hardly sleep because of the excitement of learning basics of acting. People have told me that I am a natural when it comes to acting. I began liking drama when I started performing as a spoken word artist. I had the opportunity to act in local plays and do some background work. In the Spring of 2018, I began my youth drama program, where I teach youth drama and theater. Even though I have a natural ability to act, I never took a formal acting class. Now that I have my drama program and the desire to pursue acting. I wanted to invest in myself, hone my craft, and become more skilled as a professional actress. And how could I teach if never was a student? So I wanted to give my students the best knowledge, so it is only right to learn more myself.

During the class, the instructor said something that stood out to me. She said many things that were important for us to know. However, when she said this immediately, the Lord showed me how this applies to my relationship with Him. Putting in my own words; She said," you dont start acting with words, you begin by doing" Meaning acting is physical, and you have to have a physical connection with the character you are playing. You cannot look at the script and began saying words without having a physical connection to the character. They don't have a physical connection to Yeshua to act out His words on the earth.

When I heard this, I thought about how the scriptures tell us in James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." Many believers have only the words but not the physical connection to Yeshua. We look at the script ( the Bible) and quote it, but we lack the connection (spirit) when it comes to acting on what we read, we lack the connection (spirit). "We quote the words but lack the physical connection to acted them out." In the Vine dictionary, the word Doer also mean; Greek: poietes Doer: signifies "a doer," Romans 2:13; James 1:22, 23, 25; 4:11. It means "poet" is found in Act 17:28.

Another scripture that comes to mind referring to what said is 2Co 3:6

"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." As believers, we are encouraged to observe the law without the spirit behind it, just religious rituals.

In closing, I encouraged you to act out what the Bible teaches us. We are Adoni students, and as any teacher, they want us to apply what we learned. Everything we do in life requires some effort. We can talk and quote the famous sayings, but if we do not act on them, what is the point.

Shabbat Shalom

Your Achoti/Sister

Shakina
